There are parallels,that you can draw with a leader’s job being similar to a gardener.

Planting the seeds,nurturing the sprouted ones and preventing the over grown from strangulating themselves with their own vine.

Except that you dont operate in a nice,humidity controlled greenhouse environment but out in the open plains,
